Anuradha Farley (1954-2023)

Mrs. Anuradha Farley, born in Assam on 21st February 1954, was a UK citizen and a Person of Indian Origin (PIO). She attended Woodstock School, Mussoorie from 1964 to 1970 and trained as a professional artist and illustrator first at Sir J J School of Arts in Bombay, 1970 to 1973, then at State University of New York, Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) from 1978 to 1981. She graduated from F.I.T. Summa cum Laude and was runner up for valedictorian. She held five solo art exhibitions in Tokyo (1988), Hong Kong (1990 and 1992) and London (1994 and 1997). Her fashion illustrations appeared in The New York Times and Women's Wear Daily and she also illustrated a book on executive women's fashion in New York City in 1982.

Mrs. Farley assumed office of Chairman in 2013 after passing of her father Late Hemendra Prasad Barooah, founder of B&A Group. Since then her mentorship and guidance have been source of inspiration to every employee-member of the B&A Group. Beyond corporate success, Mrs. Farley was known for her hospitality, compassion and warmth.

Mrs. Farley left for her heavenly abode on 25th November 2023.
